Last time that I stepped into a gym was in 9th grade when I had cybx class mostly composed of lifting weight and building muscles. Now at age 22, I feel like I’m in my 40s if not older than that and have barely any energy to go up the stairs. My boyfriend suggested that we try out the P90X and just give it a try. I agreed and said there is no harm in trying.

So last night was our first time doing the P90X program and I can truly say that I must be the weakest person out there. The first two minutes of the warm up, I was already exhausted and my knees were giving up on me. The things that looked simple, like moving your arms in a circle were painfully hard! We did the first set of push up which I did 10 and he did 15 and then we had to stop the DVD and have a real brake. My boyfriend told me to hurry up and let’s just finish it so we can relax but I was ready to throw in my towel. To make this story short, he was able to do the full first P90X video while I went half way and just looked. I did the chair push ups and tried to do the rest but my body was shaking and I just watched instead. I really hope our second session goes better and that I actually finish it!

Hello again, to those that are fallowing along. It is me, not my boyfriend of course, here to tell you about our next workout. The second part of the workout is the plyometrics and it is a leg-hurting and burning workout. I was actually sweating and pausing a few times rubbed my legs and would continue. My boyfriend has pretty good and strong caves so he acted like it were nothing, but he was sweating like a maniac. I have knee problems so I followed the girl most of the time and just tried to not give up like last time. I’m really proud of myself for finishing the workout but let me tell you one thing, I CANT FEEL MY LEGS!

So we finally decided it was time to do day three and be more regular with the program. Now don’t laugh when I tell you but I had 1lb weights when I was doing this and I dropped them a few times. I’m a little disappointed that my arms are so weak but I’m hoping by the end of the 90 days I’ll improve to at least 3lb. I might just get the bands and try those. What I can feel right now is tension but I’m sitting a little taller now, I actually catch myself when I’m slugging over. All in all it was a good work out that focused on shoulders and arms and of course a little something more but you will see that for yourself. Now I have to go and prepare myself for yoga time, I’m actually excited but my boyfriend is thinking on skipping this part. We will see. I can recommend that you go buy p90x and try it for your self. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
