P90X Review Day 1

I’ve been telling myself that it’s time to get up and start working out for over two years now and I’ve finally decided to do it. I’m tired of being tired and lazy! I want to have more energy and be able to open a jar with my own two hands. A month ago I decided to take baby steps and try 10 Minute Trainer. I had ten minutes to spare and I wanted to ease myself into P90X. The 10 Minute Trainer was fun and really got me moving and burning calories but I have horrible coordination skills so some moves I could not do. After two weeks on the 10 Minute Trainer I thought I was ready to move on and start P90X. I did the first work out, was in pain for three days and stopped working out altogether. Today is a new day and a new beginning. I want to get serious and actually complete P90X! It takes three months and I hope in 3 months I will have the energy, the muscles, and the abs of my dreams.

Today was my first day doing P90X, again and I think I pushed myself a little more then I should have. A year ago I was not able to do the P90X worm up and today I finished the whole thing! I did more push-ups then I should have and I know I will regret it tomorrow. I used the light bands instead of the pull-up bar but still got a great workout. I tried to fallow what Tony and his group was doing and I really should have slowed down. All I can say is that was an amazing workout and I’m proud of myself. I used to be able to do only one to maybe 2 push-ups and today I pushed myself to do 13. I know that if I didn’t do the 10 Minute Trainer I probably would not have finished P90X Chest and Back. If you are thinking about starting your P90X journey, I seriously recommend you start of slow and try the 10 Minute Trainer. I only did 2 weeks and felt a major difference in my body and strength imagine what would happen if I stayed with it for a full month. Right now is time to cool off and prepare myself for tomorrow’s Plyometrics. Oh, and I did not do Ab RipperX because, well my body could not even begin to try to do the bicycle never mind anything else.
